“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). Jesus is the exclusive path to the Father in heaven—not merely a guide but the Way itself. Our access to truth and eternal life flows directly through relationship with Him.

“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5). Jesus alone stands as the go-between who restores fellowship between God and us. Through Him, we approach God with confidence, knowing all barriers of self-effort and religious performance have been removed.

“For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment. Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both” (Job 9:32, 33). Under the law, there was no mediator who could bridge the gap between God and humanity. Under grace, Christ has fulfilled that need; He reconciles mankind to God.

“Now when someone leaves a will, it is necessary to prove that the person who made it is dead. The will goes into effect only after the person’s death. While the person who made it is still alive, the will cannot be put into effect” (Hebrews 9:16, 17, NLT). Jesus paid a high price to free us from sin and death; the new covenant required His death to be legally enforced and activated on our behalf. What God promised becomes ours because Christ’s finished works put the testament into effect forever.

“Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent” (John 6:29). In an unbelieving world, the primary work God calls us to is simply to believe in Jesus, the one He sent. We focus our energy on faith in Him, knowing that belief positions us to receive everything God wants to accomplish in and through us.

“Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace” (Galatians 5:4). The Mosaic Law was all about self-effort; attempting to justify ourselves by the law moves us away from the grace that empowers us. Staying rooted in what Christ has done allows His grace, not our works, to define our standing with God.

“For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect” (Romans 4:14). If we try to earn what God has promised by relying on the law, we cancel out the role of faith and empty the promise of its power. We receive what God provides by believing, not by striving, so that His promise remains effective in our lives.

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17). God reveals His righteousness to us through faith, not through our performance or self-effort. When we live every day trusting what He has already accomplished, our faith becomes the channel through which His righteousness operates in our lives.

“And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them” (Galatians 3:12). The old covenant of the Mosaic Law operated on the basis of human effort; by comparison, faith under the new covenant of grace depends entirely on trusting God. No matter how good our intentions are or how hard we try, we can never earn true spiritual life through performance; it’s received by relying on God’s grace.

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world” (1 John 2:15, 16). Our affections shape our spiritual direction; whatever captures our love ultimately forms our values. Worldly desires are subtle distractions that can quietly pull the heart away from deeper communion with God.

“And the apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith.’ So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you” (Luke 17:5, 6, NKJV).

If we get discouraged, thinking we need more faith for it to be effective, Jesus teaches us that even a little faith is more than enough when we employ it. Regardless of how big any problem may appear to be, planting the seeds of faith and letting God water them will produce a harvest.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

Faith and confidence are linked. The more we build up our confidence in the finished works of Jesus, the stronger our faith becomes. Hearing the word of God impacts us spiritually and increases that confidence level.

“Así que la fe es por el oír, y el oír por la palabra de Dios” (Romanos 10:17).

La fe y la confianza son intercambiables. Cuanto mas edificamos nuestra fe en la obra terminada de Jesús, más fuerte se convierte nuestra fe. Oír la palabra de Dios nos impactará espiritualmente y aumentará nuestro nivel de confianza.

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm” (Psalm 20:7, 8, NIV).

There are plenty of things in which we can trust but, when we rely on God, we are victorious in life. He will never let us down or betray our trust in him.

“For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it” (Hebrews 4:2).

The power of the word of God is effective in our lives only when we receive it by faith. If we are to benefit from it, we must block doubt from entering into our minds.

“But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” (James 1:4).

When we encounter trouble and patiently trust God to handle the situation, we are demonstrating our confidence in him. We stay the same and refuse to let what we feel, hear, or see move us.  Continuing to work our faith this way results in manifestations.
